In the new half-hour dramedy from TeenNick is set in the world of the Hollywood elite packed with A-list parties and privilege and Gigantic tells a coming-of-age story infused with pop culture fame. It’s not easy being teenagers growing up in the shadow of their parents’ superstar status, and Gigantic skewers the celebrity machine while exposing the humanity and comedy beneath the glamour of Tinseltown.

Starring Tony Oller, Grace Gummer, Gia Mantegna, Ryan Rottman, Jolene Purdy and Malcolm David Kelley, the new series is set to premiere in early 2010.

Gigantic summary: It’s not easy being teenagers growing up in the shadow of their parents’ superstar status, and Gigantic skewers the celebrity machine while exposing the humanity and comedy beneath the glamour of Tinseltown. With an insider look behind the tabloids and gossip blogs, the series features an ensemble cast that includes: 17-year-old Anna (Gummer) and her younger brother Walt (Oller), both kids of a famous movie star couple; Anna’s best friend Piper (Purdy); frenemy Vanessa (Mantegna) and Anna’s boy crush with a big secret Joey (Rottman).

Gigantic, from the minds of Ben and Debby Wolfinsohn and executive producer Marti Noxon, is set to premiere on TeenNick early 2010.

The connections of the quintet: Ryan is Brittany Snow’s boyfriend, Gia is Mitchel Musso’s girlfriend and Joe Mantegna’s daughter, and we all know Tony from Disney Channel’s As The Bell Rings. But did you know that Grace is Meryl Streep’s daughter?
