David Henrie and Jake T. Austin work together at the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas on Monday afternoon (August 23).
The Wizards of Waverly Place actors worked alongside volunteers in an effort to provide local kids with recently-reformulated bread now made without high fructose corn syrup, which retains the taste they love and the nutrition parents appreciate – just in time for the back-to-school season.
David and Jake helped to donate 25,000 of Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread to the food bank.

The cast of Wizards of Waverly Place gather around writer and producer Peter Murietta as they accept the Emmy award for Outstanding Children’s Program at the 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (August 21).
The movie was up against it’s TV counterpart, iCarly, Hannah Montana and JONAS. Reactions to the win soon!

Jake T. Austin hides one eye with the JJ coaster as he arrives at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards at Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday (August 8) in Universal City, Calif.
The 15-year-old actor caught up with JJJ on the blue carpet and dished to us all about season four of Wizards. Check it out:
On possibly the last season of Wizards: “This is looking like our final season. We’ve done more than a lot of Disney shows, 4 seasons, 105 episodes, something like that so its been great. If you just look at the overall aura and chemistry, we work so well off of each other and have such a blast doing the show.”
On his closest friendships during the run of the show: “It’s like picking your favorite friend, I don’t know. I have a different relationship with everybody. I hang out with David and Lorenzo [Henrie]. Everybody gets together, I guess when you work with each other so many days a week it’s hard not to.”
On what Max is up to in season four: “I think my character has a love interest coming up. I think a new girl. Someone new to the game. I definitely want a new girl, with raw talent, that would be cool. Well, I’d love Bar Rafaeli or Adriana Lima but I mean that’s shooting for the stars (laughs).”

Selena Gomez gives Jake T. Austin a tight squeeze as they met up on the Disney lot on Monday morning (August 9) in Los Angeles.
The duo attended the 2010 Teen Choice Awards last night — with Selena, 18, taking home a couple of surfboards.

The 15-year-old actor shows his fans around the acreage in the suburbs of New York and the three family goats!
Jake recently opened up to JJJ on costar pal David Henrie’s recent writing ventures on Wizards of Waverly Place. He shared, “Oh, David. Yeah, his episode sucked by the way (laughs), No, no. It was actually really good. I didn’t think he had it in him. I think of him as just the actor. You think of everyone you work with one dimensionally until they prove their stuff. David wrote a great episode. I have much more of a respect for him that he actually followed through. He set his mind to something and got it done.”
Jake added on, about possibly writing for the series himself, I can write comedies. Sitcoms, I don’t understand it at all. I still don’t understand it even being on it. I just don’t understand the formula so I wouldn’t be too good at it. David worked on a lot of sitcoms through so he knows it better than I do. But no, I definitely wouldn’t be able to do that.”

Selena Gomez pulls guest star Wilmer Valderrama and on-screen mom Maria Canals-Barrera into a hug in this new still from Wizards of Waverly Place.
In the upcoming episode “Uncle Ernesto,” Justin (David Henrie), Alex (Gomez) and Max (Jake T. Austin) promise a magic-free evening so Theresa can invite her brother Ernesto (who does not know about the Russo’s magical powers) for a birthday dinner. The promise is broken as soon as Alex spots magical birthday presents from Uncle Kelbo.
“Uncle Ernesto” premieres on Friday, August 27 @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Jake T. Austin keeps it cool as he arrives at the premiere of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice at the New Amsterdam Theatre in NYC on Tuesday night (July 6).
The movie, starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel, follows master sorcerer Balthazar Blake, who recruits a seemingly everyday guy in his mission to defend New York City from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath.
