JJJ caught up with the stars of the film — Debby Ryan and Jean-Luc Bilodeau — to find out just why viewers should watch their movie.

16 Wishes follows Abby Jensen (Ryan), a teenager who can’t wait to grow up, and when she is handed the chance to make all her wishes come true, quickly learns the importance of being careful what you wish for.

The flick debuts TODAY @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel!

Jean-Luc Bilodeau steps out with costars Karissa Tynes and Anna Mae Routledge as they premiere their new movie, 16 Wishes, at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening (June 22).

The 18-year-old actor, who plays Jay Kepler in the flick, caught up with JJJ on the pink carpet and dished which of Abby’s (Debby Ryan) wishes he likes the most.

JL shared, “She’s got a lot of great wishes on there but there’s one where she wishes to be treated like a woman. I, of course, would want to be treated like a man (laughs).”

Debby Ryan and Jean-Luc Bilodeau sign 16 Wishes merchandise as they meet and greet fans at the Borders store in Century City on Saturday afternoon (June 19).

JJJ was lucky enough to chat with the duo before the fan Q&A session and found out just a bit more about Abby’s best friend in the film — Jay, played by Jean-Luc.

Jean-Luc shared with us about his character: “He’s just a really nice, charming, good guy. He’s Abby’s best friend and he’s the one she always goes to. Jay’s the fall back for all her problems and she kind of takes him for granted a bit. But slowly, through the story, you see Jay’s underlying feelings for Abby surface. He’s a good guy.”

Debby chimed in, “Everything that Abby gets caught up in, Jay’s always the voice of reason for her. He’s the practical one in their relationship. A good balance.”

Brooke Scher holds up a sign in front of her group as they gear up to walk in the 2010 Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis last weekend.

The 18-year-old budding actress and singer put together a group of friends including Jean-Luc Bilodeau, T.C. Carter and Michelle DeFraites to walk for awareness about the disease.

After the walk, Brooke was kind enough to stop for fans and take pics and sign autographs for them.
