Exciting news for Jennifer Stone!

The 16-year-old Wizards comedienne has been cast as the title character in a new live-action TV movie Harriet the Spy, thanks to THR.

Jen will play high school student Harriet Welsch in a TV project based on the classic kids book series by Louise Fitzhugh.

In the new tale from the classic series, Harriet is determined to be her high school’s class blogger as she clashes with her nemesis, popular student Marion Hawthorne.

The project will shoot in Hamilton, Ontario and is set to debut in 2010 on Disney Channel.

Jennifer Stone steps out at the Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times 17th Annual Halloween Carnival held at Universal Studios Hollywood on Sunday afternoon (October 25).

The 16-year-old Wizards comedienne also stopped by pal Taylor Spreitler’s Sweet 16 birthday party at Ecco Lounge on Saturday night.

While in NYC recently, Jennifer dished to Insider via WWD about her shoe obsession, saying, “I’m ready to cut my feet off, but I love [these shoes]. No pain, no gain, right?”

Jennifer also squeezed in a meeting with designer Ruthie Davis. She shared, “She gave me the shoes I wore to the Teen Vogue party and after I saw those shoes, I said, ‘This is a woman that I have to meet!’”

The trio had a blast with costar pals David Henrie, Madison Pettis and David DeLuise, among others.

The Party On The Pier helps to promote children’s health and raises funds for the hospital to continue care for special patients and their families.

On-screen couple David Henrie and Bridgit Mendler bang on the clear glass as they get stuck in an exhibit in a museum in this new still from Wizards of Waverly Place.

In the upcoming episode “Night At The Lazerama,” Justin (Henrie) is summoned to track down a scary mummy as part of his monster hunting duties. He and Juliet (Mendler) set off to the museum to track the monster, but things take a turn for the worse when Justin and Juliet become trapped in the museum. Meanwhile, Alex (Selena Gomez) tries to separate Max (Jake T. Austin) from his conscience after he starts excelling in his wizard studies.

Moises Arias guest stars in “Night At The Lazerama,” premiering Friday, November 6 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Jennifer Stone helps a young girl read Eric Carle’s “A Very Busy Caterpillar” for Jumpstart’s Read for the Record at The New York Public Library on Thursday afternoon (October 8).

The 16-year-old Wizards actress joined good pals Madison Pettis and Justin Bieber in the initiative.

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is an international campaign to bring preschool children together with valued grownups in their lives to read the same book, on the same day, in communities all over the world.

Madison Pettis helps a young fan color a shape as they participate in Jumpstart’s “Read for the Record” held at The New York Public Library on Thursday afternoon (October 8).

The 11-year-old actress dished to JJJ this afternoon that she’ll be surprising a Free Style audience TOMORROW NIGHT, just like her costar Corbin Bleu.

Madison shared with us, “I will be at the Cinemark Theater in North Plano, TX @7PM 2morrow nite 2 do a meet & greet w/fans! Come by and see me!”

Jennifer Stone brings color to the red carpet as she steps out at BFF Selena Gomez launch party for her debut record held at Siren Studios in Hollywood on Tuesday night (September 29).

The 16-year-old actress revealed to JJJ that her favorite song off of Sel’s new record was definitely “As A Blonde.” Jen shared, “I love it. It’s an anthem about how girls can change one little thing and it makes you feel like a totally different person.”

Jennifer continued, “I’m so proud of Selena. She’s wanted this for a long time and worked her toush off and it’s finally paying off. The album looks great, I saw her perform the other day and she looks like a new Hayley Williams (from Paramore). She’s the coolest and she’s worked so hard, it’s nice to see it all pay off.”
