Thanks to Rap-Up.com, we have your first listen of “In The Dark,” off of the 19-year-old’s upcoming mixtape.
Jojo shared about the track, “I think ‘In the Dark’ is different than anything people have heard from me before. It’s a very sensual record and there’s an undertone of sadness to it.”
Jojo’s mixtape, Can’t Take That Away From Me, will premiere on Rap-Up and release September 7th!

JoJo stuffs a bright green bag full of school supplies as she attends the Do Something 101 Back Pack Teen Choice Awards After Party held at Universal Studios in Universal City on Sunday evening (August 8).
Fighting a strong cold, the long-time DoSomething.org supporter powered through an extra half hour of signing autographs for the fans after speaking on stage.
As a highlight to the Third Annual Staples/Do Something 101 School Supply Drive, stars showed off their gift bag-stuffing skills on a red carpet to make the ultimate back-to-school swag bag full of donated pencils, notebooks, paper, pencil pouches, folders and other back-to-school essentials.
Staples will add an additional 4,500 supply gift bags to the 500 bags created yesterday, a total value of $125,000 worth of supplies, so that thousands of members of the Variety Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood can head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed.

Demi Lovato celebrated Easter earlier this year with pals the Jonas family at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. The 17-year-old actress/singer wore a black floral strapless tulle dress from AMI Clubwear and completed her look with a black cardigan and heels.
Jojo stepped out at the the 2010 VH1 Do Something! Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium earlier this month sporting the pink version of the same dress. The 19-year-old singer accessorized her look with safety pin earrings, fierce black heels, bangles and a black and gold ring.

The 19-year-old singer kept it fun and fresh on the red carpet with a pink floral dress.
Jojo caught up with SandMRadio on the carpet and dished on what’s coming up for her next. She shared, “I’ve been back in the studio and recording. I have an album and a mixtape that are coming out. The mixtape is coming before the album next month. You know, just writing and recording for that extended period of time.”
During the after party, Jojo was seen hanging out with most of the Do Something! nominees instead of the celeb tables.

JoJo chills out with Rap-Up.com during the Pre-BET Awards Lounge to chat about her delayed, but much-anticipated third album.
Check out what the 19-year-old songstress had to say about the feel of her album: “I would describe it as pretty eclectic but more than my first two albums, there is more energy to it. There’s more upbeat songs and there’s a common thread throughout the album because I co-wrote every song.
JoJo continued, “It’s very transparent, open and honest. It’s what young people are thinking and talking about. I love that I was able to experiment with different sounds while still keeping true to the fact that this is a pop record.”

JoJo shows off her deep dark locks as she attends Jaguar’s Evening of Music and Luxury at h.wood in Los Angeles earlier last week.
The 19-year-old songstress, in Motel dress, caught up with gal pal Zelda Williams inside the party.
The party was host to a number of stars and guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres as well as signature Jaguar “Prohibition Tea” cocktails with TY KU Soju, and DJ StoneRokk was on the turntables alongside a special musical performance by Robin Thicke.

JoJo just premiered a new song on her MySpace today called “Wait a Minute (For Your Love)!”
The 19-year-old musician writes on her MySpace about her new song, “Hey pals! Just posted a song called ‘Wait a Minute (For Your Love)’ I wrote with Jordan Gatsby a while ago that I wanted to share. Its just a record that I love, which probably wont make the album (since this doesnt at all fit the direction…lol) but still represents a genre of music that inspires me.
JoJo continued, “Making this was so much fun. We recorded it at this ill studio in Boston called Sanctum Sound and had some fantastic musicians come in and sprinkle their gifts upon it. Still recording for the album. Slow and steady wins the race. Im doing all that I can to get new material out asap. Love you oodles. Thank you for you support and I cant wait to see you all again soon…x’s and o’s, -Jo.”
