Maiara Walsh is trading in housewives for vampires!
The 22-year-old actress will star as Sarah, a high schooler who likes to party, according to TV Guide.
Vampire Diaries executive producer Kevin Williamson dishes, “Sarah is a girl who sets her eyes on Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and encourages him to party it up at the Lockwood house.”

Congrats to both Meaghan Martin and Maiara Walsh — they were just cast in Mean Girls 2!
The girls both took to their social network sites (Facebook and Twitter) to announce the big news. Meaghan shared on her Facebook, “I won’t be going on [the Camp Rock] tour because I will be in Atlanta filming ‘Mean Girls 2!’ I will be playing the lead role of Jo!”
Maiara will be the lead “Plastic,” still yet to be named.
Mean Girls 2 revolves around a new high school student, Jo, who agrees to befriend an outcast, Abby, at the urging of Abby’s wealthy father in exchange for paying all of Jo’s costs for the college of her dreams. Jo and Abby team up to take on the school’s “mean girls,” the Plastics. The story becomes a high stakes battle of loyalty that ultimately comes to a head when one of our heroines finds out that her friendship has been bought and paid for.

Maiara Walsh brightens up the red carpet in a blue Bebe dress as she arrives at the 2010 Young Hollywood Awards held earlier last month at The Ebell of Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old actress will be guest starring on The Secret Life of the American Teenager this season!
Maiara tweeted this morning, “In hair and make up for my first day of shooting on The Secret Life of the American Teenager :)”
While the series returns on ABC Family on MONDAY, June 7, Maiara’s episode won’t air until August.

Maiara Walsh and Francia Raisa snap a pic together at the 2010 Girl Prep Conference held at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel on Saturday morning (May 1).
JJJ was at the conference and got the chance to chat with the faces of Girl Prep plus Monique Coleman and got to know what Girl Prep is all about.
Maiara, 21, told us about building up self confidence, “Build it up from affirmations like telling yourself that ‘I am strong enough to do this’ until you actually believe it. Being able to go out and stand out and knowing that your voice matters and that it does count.”
Francia added on, “This is everything that I wish I had in high school. I wish I had girls that I admired back in high school to help me with my self-esteem.”

Stunning as always, Maiara Walsh steps out at Beso restaurant to celebrate costar Eva Longoria Parker’s new fragrance launch for Eva by Eva Longoria in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening (April 27).
The 22-year-old actress wore a strapless black and white Alexander Wang dress — the same that Demi Lovato wore for the Princess Protection Program premiere in Toronto earlier last year.

Maiara Walsh catches up with costar pal Andrea Bowen as they step out at the 11th Anniversary Celebration of Nylon Magazine held at Trousdale in West Hollywood on Wednesday night (April 7).
The 22-year-old actress is one of the new faces of Girl Prep, an interactive empowerment conference was created as a response to increased community concern for early intervention in the lives of disadvantaged teen and tween girls aged 10 to 13 years old.
