Nick Jonas Chats The Administration

Nick Jonas Chats The Administration

Nick Jonas may not be running for President just yet, but he does have his own Administration.

The 17-year-old musician caught up with USA Today to talk about the comings and goings of his new side-project group, The Administration. Made up of drummer Michael Bland and keyboardist Tommy Barbarella, Guitarist David Ryan Harris played on the album, but Sonny Thompson will replace him for live shows — which are coming up soon.

Nick shared, “I had written five or six songs that were on my heart, things that were just pouring out of me with this new and exciting sound. They weren’t necessarily right for the Jonas Brothers, but I thought they could be perfect for something else. It’s a cross between my roots in R&B and soul with a kind of rock/pop music behind it.”

Some of the songs off of their debut album, Who I Am include “The Rose Garden,” “Olive & An Arrow,” “Conspiracy Theory” and “State of Emergency.”

Nick Jonas & the Administration will make its live debut performing a single of the same name on the Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! special Wednesday, December 2 on CBS.

Who I Am is set to hit shelves on February 2.

Jonas Brothers: Rhine River Boat Ride

Jonas Brothers: Rhine River Boat Ride

Jonas Brothers pose with a fan before hopping onto a boat for a ride across the Rhine river in Cologne, Germany on Sunday afternoon (November 15).

One fan writes to us about her recent JoBros concert in Antwerp, saying, “When JB came on it was AMAZING everybody was screaming the whole concert there was not one second that we were quiet. Joe was exited too he wore a sailor head and a cowboy hat, he also picked up a pillow in the shape of a heart and he was running around the stage with the pillow on his face. He also put a Nick mask on and stood next to nick while singing.

Joe also said we had the best waffles and that they wrote a song about it they started to sing I gotta go find you but instead of ‘I need to find you,’ he said ‘I need a waffle.’ During ‘Video Girl’ he took someone’s camera. Kevin was running around the stage with his guitar pretty hyper too he rocked at one point a group girls yelled ‘WE love you Kevin‘ but I don’t think people heard it. It was an amazing show I will never forget it.”

Earlier this week, the JoBros stopped by the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to get a taste of professional football team Real Madrid.

Chelsea Staub and Joe Jonas “magically” levitate some fruit in this behind-the-scenes still from JONAS.

In the upcoming episode “Cold Shoulder,” Kevin is thrilled when he learns that Anya (Madison Riley), his friend and president of the Scandinavian JONAS fan club, is going to be an exchange student at their school.

Kevin appreciates her outrageous ways, but after Anya sees everyone at school laughing at her, she enlists Stella’s (Staub) help to make her more like a local girl.

“Cold Shoulder” premieres Sunday, December 6 @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
