Movie summary: Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In the old days, there was peace between the four nations of the world. The Avatar — Master of all four elements — kept peace between the the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Only the Avatar has the ability to Bend (manipulate) all four elements, but one day, he vanished. Then the Fire Nation attacked, forcing a war on the other three nations for one hundred years.

Now, for the good of the world, it’s up to 12-year-old Aang (Noah Ringer), the new Avatar, and the last of the Air Nomads (Airbenders), to return peace and balance by putting an end to the war and mastering all four elements. Aang must accept his destiny by stopping the Fire Nation’s war and defeating the Fire Lord for good.

Jackson Rathbone holds up a light in this new teaser for the upcoming The Last Airbender that was shown during Sunday night’s (February 7) Super Bowl game.

The action flick, which was written, produced and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, follows the adventures of Aang (Noah Ringer), a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.

The Last Airbender, also starring Dev Patel and Nicola Peltz, hits theaters July 2nd. Will you go see it?

Meet actress Nicola Peltz, the newest starlet to make girls everywhere hate her.

The 15-year-old entertainer not only stars opposite Jackson Rathbone in the upcoming The Last Airbender, but she’s also booked a role in Unbound Captives with Robert Pattinson!

Nicola dished to People about her instant connection with Jackson, saying, “The funny thing was, at the audition, he completely acted like my older brother.”

The Last Airbender director M. Night Shyamalan praises the up-and-coming actress and revealed he couldn’t do the movie without her. “I told the studio I didn’t want to make this movie without her. I said that only once before in my career, and that was when I met Haley [Joel Osment] in the Sixth Sense auditions,” he said.
