Nina Dobrev cozies up to costar Paul Wesley as they arrive at the 27th Annual PaleyFest presents The Vampire Diaries at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday night (March 6).

Joined by costar Ian Somerhalder, the trio answered many questions from fans and press alike.

The Futon Critic quotes Ian as saying he won’t see Twilight because of the constant comparisons he hears. He shared, “‘Vampire Diaries’ is a well constructed story with well constructed characters. I never saw Twilight… I knew the books were huge but I never saw it. I chose not to see it so I wouldn’t make comparisons.”

Pals Paul Wesley and Kellan Lutz suit up sharp as they attend Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Males of 2010 at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC on Monday night (March 1).

Paul has said of their first meeting, “When we were shooting the pilot for Vampire Diaries, Kellan was shooting Twilight in Vancouver as well. We were all staying in the same hotel and hung out a couple of times. I was kind of like ‘This is either really lame or kind of cool.’ It was like some sort of vampire gathering (laughs).”

The duo were featured as Cosmo’s poster fun and fearless males 2010.

Nina Dobrev shows off a handmade bracelet from one of her fans as she attends The Vampire Diaries Hot Topic Tour stop at Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park, Calif., on Saturday (February 13).

The 21-year-old actress recently sat down to chat with the LA Times about transitioning from her Degrassi roots onto The Vampire Diaries.

Nina shared, “It was hard in the sense that a lot of my friends are on the show, but we still keep in touch. The Degrassi producers were very supportive. They sent me flowers when I got The Vampire Diaries, and then as soon as it premiered and got the great numbers that it did, I got another large bouquet of flowers from them. I went back and I did two episodes for Season 9, so that my character could be written out. I don’t know! Right now the schedule here is so overwhelming, and I can’t see how I could have time to do anything else, but you never know. I would do it. We’ll see!”

Nina Dobrev snuggles into her two favorite vampires Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder as they continue their cast tour at the Hot Topic store at Garden State Westfield Mall in Paramus, New Jersey on Saturday afternoon (January 30).

Press caught up with Paul after the event to chat about the rumored Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl crossover and he had no clue about it. Paul shared, “This is the first time I’ve heard about it, that’s amazing.”

Liam Hemsworth models off a Ralph Lauren polo shirt in this new shot from the upcoming issue of VMAN magazine.

In the upcoming issue, the 19-year-old Aussie actor opened up about his worst audition. Liam shared, “I once turned up to an audition with litle to no sleep, not really knowing the lines. Stupid decision! I did such a poor job that without finishing, I just apologized and walked out.”

Eek, advice to budding actors out there — always get a good night’s sleep!

Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley also opened up to the mag on how he first got started in the business, saying, “I was 15 or 16, auditioning for a soap opera. I didn’t even know what a soap opera was. All I cared about was living in Manhattan and finding a way to not go to high school every day.”

In the upcoming issue, the trio dish on being a part of the vampire craze, the success and cool characters.

Nina on being compared to True Blood and Twilight: “When the show first started… you automatically thought Twilight. But once you continue, there’s a whole other side of it that goes a lot deeper… It’s about letting everyone know that we’re different but we all respect each other.”

Ian on hopping from LOST to VD: “[My character] is gonna be the coolest character on television. There was no doubt about it. It reminded me of Sawyer, Josh Holloway’s character on LOST. He was always the character I secretly wished I could play.”

Paul on bringing in the numbers for the CW: “Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren’t for all that [the vampire craze]? No.”

Vampire pals Kellan Lutz and Paul Wesley are the February cover boys for Cosmo’s Fun Fearless Males 2010.

The duo chatted with Cosmo about bonding over vampires. Paul shared in the video, “When we were shooting the pilot for Vampire Diaries, Kellan was shooting Twilight in Vancouver as well. We were all staying in the same hotel and hung out a couple of times. I was kind of like ‘This is either really lame or kind of cool.’ It was like some sort of vampire gathering (laughs).”

Kellan dished to the mag about his sugar addiction, saying, “Candy–I just need sugar all the time, 24/7. Oh, and I’m obsessed with lip balm. I seriously have like 20 hidden in different pairs of pants.”
